A lecturer at University of Education Winneba in the central region, Mrs Florence Akua Mensah has charged the ministry of education and Ghana Education service to assign professors to teach in basic schools .
Mrs Florence Akua made this suggestion during a two-day workshop for Kindergarten and Lower Primary ,and Curriculum Leaders Campaign for Children with Learning Disabilities (CLED GHANA).
According to the lecturer, the foundation of the Pupils is the most important thing in Education so Professors must be assigned to impact knowledge in children at their early stage.

“I’m not saying trained teachers are not doing well but professors can do better.” she explained.
Mrs Florence Mensah who is a board member of (CLED GHANA ) further suggested that, government must put punitive measures in place to employ special needs teachers across the country .
Curriculum Leaders Campaign for Children with Learning Disabilities (CLED GHANA ) is a non governmental organization on diagnostic teaching of Reading and Irlen syndrome in collaboration with Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate at Kasoa.
