Newly Trained Teachers to Picket at MoE over wrongful Postings

A group calling itself the Coalition of qualified but not posted newly trained teachers has issued their displeasure on the selective recruitment by Ghana Education Service and Ministry Of Education.

According to Mr. Osei Sarfo,in a press release, they are living in frustrations and also very disappointed in government and GES.

“We are about One Thousand and Five Hundred victims” he stated.
According to the group,it has notified the  Ghana Police Service, of its  intention to picket at the  Ministry of Education on Thursday , 16th November, 2017 to present their  grievances to the public to hear how government has deceived them.

The leadership of the group indicated that they have passed all their papers successfully but have been ignored by the GES and Ministry of Education .

According to the group, the Ghana Education Service posted more than 10000 newly trained teachers to places where their services were needed.

Meanwhile, more than 1000 qualified trained teachers are left out without any reason.

According to the group, the Ghana Education service posted graduates from Colleges of Education under the previous government but they considered this year postings to be a way of refusing some of them the opportunity to  join the service .

The group believed they are of the same status as their colleagues who had been posted.
