The Local Governance and Public Accountability Network is calling on the Management of Ghana Education Service to as a matter of urgency, audit all Ghana Education Service employees, who have been promoted to various higher positions in the service.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Local Governance and Public Accountability Network (LOGOPAN) on January 6,2018 in relation to the allegations leveled against the former Public Relations Officer of the GES Rev. Jonathan Bettey by the Acting Deputy Director General of the Ghana Education Service on the account of forging his Promotional Letter.
LOGOPAN has also indicated that there has also been alleged that there are were a lot of front line officers in the GES and especially those in the Senior High Schools who did not attend any promotion interview but got promotion letters from some ‘powerful People’within the service.
The group is therefore, calling on the management of the Ghana Education to have all alleged promotion letters from 2009 to 2017 audited throughout the entire nation.
