On Thursday, 12th of March 2020 before the lockdown was announced, the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students -Ghana Chapter paid a courtesy visit to ๐——๐—ฅ. ๐—ž๐—œ๐—ก๐—š๐—ฆ๐—Ÿ๐—˜๐—ฌ ๐—ก๐—ฌ๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ž๐—ข โ€“ the Executive Secretary of Ghanaโ€™s National Accreditation Board (NAB).

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana is the Government of Ghana agency responsible for the #regulation, #supervision and Intโ€™l accreditation of tertiary institutions in Ghana.

It is an agency under the Ministry of Education. The delegation was led by the NANSGhana President Comrade Adebayo Samuel Ogunkoya and on the train were Comrade Joy Ovigwe Onovwakpor (Women Commissioner), Comrade ๐—Ÿ๐˜‚๐—ธ๐—ฎ ๐—๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป (SRC Vice President & Nigerian student Leader โ€“ Knutsford University College ), Comrade Chioma Oheema Ezeokoye (NSC, Accra Business School ), Comrade Anas Sani Dahiru Ahmad (SRC Veep, University of Islamic Studies) and Comrade Hon Chukwuelobe Onyeka Christian (Emeritus NANSGhana P.R.O 18/19).

The NANSGhana President Comrade Adebayo in his remark expressed gratitude to Dr. Nyarko for the warm reception accorded to NANSGhana delegation.

He hailed the NAB Chief Executive for his exemplary leadership since assuming office and particularly saluted him for the launching of the

The CEMS, which is accessible via: [ cems.nab.gov.gh ] will enable applicants seeking certificate evaluation and related services apply for such services online.

This is expected to eliminate the phenomenon where applicants of certificate evaluation physically visit the NAB Secretariat in Accra for such services.

This initiative will bring huge relief to prospective Nigerian students especially those who possess NECO results/certificates instead of WAEC and would like to study in Ghana as they can easily apply for their NECO evaluation while in Nigeria.

Comrade Adebayo further urged the NAB to intensify monitoring of tertiary institutions to weed out unaccredited ones and entreated the executive secretary of NAB to apply punitive sanctions against individuals who operate unaccredited tertiary institutions in the country.

On his part, Dr Nyarko assured Nigerian students in Ghana of their continued protection and attainment of quality education.

He also stated that NANSGhana should not hesitate to contact NAB whenever thereโ€™s any experience of difficulties, especially those that relate to education in Ghana.

Comrade Adebayo appealed to him to continue his good works at NAB. Following the visit, the NAB also issued a press release acknowledging the courtesy visit via their official website
