The Ghana Education Service (GES) has organized a one-week workshop for representatives from 25 selected districts in the country on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).
The workshop was organized between August 25 to 31,2019 at the Brunel Complex of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
According to a letter dated August 8,2019 and signed by Anthony Boateng, Deputy Director General for the Director General of the GES, some districts were being selected across the country to participate in the workshop.
The workshop was organized by the Girls Education Unit (GEU) of the GES with support from Canada.
The workshop was aimed at implementing a Comprehensive Sexuality Education program at the Junior High Schools to access gender-responsive and youth-friendly Sexual Reproductive Health Information through School Club activities.
The Workshop brought together Schedule officers such as Girls Education, Guidance and Counselling, School Health Education, Special Education as well Community Participation/Basic School Coordinators.
