Trainee Nurses in the Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges in the Country are still in dilemma in respect to Government’s promise of a supposed full restoration of their allowances.
In a statement issued by Francis Appiah,a concern member of Health Trainees and a Student Activist ,and copied to EducationGhana.net ,the Trainee Nurses remind the government and stakeholders that they are holding up to their words.
According to the statement, Government has assured to release the said fully restored Allowances ( November and December) within a timeline as promised on phone calls to him and in some cases via press releases to the media in counter of his earlier article to that effect.
The Trainee Nurses are in their statement reminding Government that failure to adhere to their grievance this time will lead to a Press Conference to probe into the issues of this said restored Allowance,which would be followed by a Nationwide Demonstration by all concerned trainees against the stakeholders involved.
The statement however concluded with an appreciation to government for its efforts to restore these Allowances which has become a great relief to all trainees and parents.
