Supreme Court melts UCC’s appeal over GH¢10,000 High Court penalty

The Supreme Court of Ghana has worsened the woes of the   University of Cape Coast after it has thrown out an appeal by the University authorities regarding a High Court order which fines the University, a Gh¢10,000 damages per student, to be given to Some 22 Students the University rusticated.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, February 20,2018 reject the appeal unanimously given the go ahead for the University to pay the rusticated students GH¢10,000 each as ordered by the Central Regional High Court.

It could be recalled that on the 21st of December 2017, the UCC Administration forwarded an appeal to the Supreme Court  after The Central Regional High Court had ruled in favour of the 22 students of ATL, instructing the Administration to pay GH₵10,000.00 each to the students on 8th December 2017.
