Presidential staff bus involved in accident (photos)

A Mercedes Benz bus which was conveying some staff of the Flagstaff House, has been involved in an accident on the Ako Adjei Interchange in Accra.

The accident occurred when a Man Diesel Truck from the Canadian Embassy portion of the road, ran into the government registered presidential staff bus, as the driver attempted a turn towards the Osu stretch of the interchange.

The driver of the truck reportedly said he had a brake failure and had to hit the bus from behind to stop his truck.

Meanwhile, 16 persons including the driver, sustained minor injuries and are receiving treatment at the Cantonments Police Hospital.

The Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service confirmed the incident to Citi News adding that they are currently investigating it.
