Newly Trained Teachers to Picket at Education Ministry over delay in Postings

The leadership of the Coalition of Newly Trained teaches wishes to bring to the notice of all newly trained teachers the following arrangements if the ultimatum issued in our press statement on 3rd October is not met tomorrow 10th October, 2017.

1. In accordance with the public order act, we will officially notify the police informing them of our intention to picket at the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education on 16th October, 2017. The law stipulates that notice must be given to the police five days to any event.

2. The Minister of Education and the Director General of the Ghana Education Service will officially be notified with a petition to post all newly trained teachers and copy of the notice to the police to picket will officially be served them.

3. All newly trained teachers are entreated to comply with the leadership of the Coalition of Newly Trained Teachers and offer their maximum support and are encouraged to come out in their numbers on Monday 16th October for the picketing.

We have however taken notice of some charlatans asking newly trained teachers to send money to their mobile money wallets to engage stakeholders on posting, we want to state without any equivocation that we have not put out any mobile money number for monies to be paid in to.

We finance our activities by our personal resources and will seek for support when the need arises but as at now beware of such characters.

Thank you.

Saviour Gokah,
National Secretary
