Newly Trained Teachers who completed College in the 2016/17 academic year has threatened to demonstrate against the supposed inhuman attitudes of their Principals.
In a statement submitted to EducationGhana.net by a group calling itself Coalition of Newly Trained Teachers, the group is asking Principals of the Various Colleges of Education to as avmatterbof urgency, release all results to the Ghana Education Service so as to assist the Education Service begin the postings of all Newly Trained Teachers.
The Principals of the various Colleges are being criticised by the group for keeping the results of the Students because they owe the College Academic fees.
The group described the decision as inhuman and unfair treatment from the Principals.
The group believed that when students know their results’ status, they could easily prepare for their resit examination.
The group stated the Principals were known for traumatizing Students, a behavior they believed was out of hand.
“Till when will some principals stop victimizing the students.
How long would these students psychologically be made stable and devoid of trauma caused by tensions raised by some principals.” the group questioned.
The group also questioned the importance of the Clearance Forms given to students of which their results could now be used as a collateral for feeding and Academic Fees.
“What is the importance of clearance form which was given to students that their results now a collateral for Feeding fees and school fees? ” they asked.
The group thereby asked all Principals to release results to students in the next 24 hours or they will stage an unstoppable nationwide demonstration in the streets of the country fighting for their rights.
