Mampong Tech. College of Education Students Protest over dismissals

The recent developments in Colleges of Education in Ghana may have no rest on its examination body, the University of Cape Coast.

Later in October,Students were dismissed for failing only ‘single’ papers by the University of Cape Coast.

Students of the Mampong Technical College of Education in the Ashanti Region took to the campus of the College to protest peacefully against authorities and the University of Cape coast for their ‘unfair’ strategies to dismiss students.

A total of about 274 students are believed to have been failed out of about 500 students in the college, which is about more than 50% of students that are being dismissed.

Section of the aggrieved students told EducationGhana.net that the authorities of the college were unfair to them because that was not the option they were given when they enrolled in the College as level 100 students.
