Miss Joaness Frimpong, a student of the Department of Petroleum Engineering of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who was an intern at the Schlumberger, has won the Schlumberger Award for the Intern Video Competition 2015.
Miss Frimpong, a third year student, sat for the internship test conducted by Schlumberger and was invited for an interview. She was assigned to Wireline for her summer internship and during that time entered into the Video Challenge.
She won the Video Challenge for all the interns in Europe and Africa area (EAF). The EAF judge, Leader Yannick Mouamba, submitted her video to the global competition and she won. Mr. Mouamba said, ‘It is not surprising to see that she has been selected winner in the Global Video Competition and we hope to see more of Joaness in the future as a Schlumberger employee.
Ryan K. Rasmussen, Schlumberger Limited Recruiting Manager, said he had been overwhelmed with the number of entries in the first Intern Video Competition with over 100 entries internationally. The entries were screened and shortlisted to 20 finalists. Joaness Frimpong, EAF, placed first with an excellent narrative of her daily intern life.
