JUST IN:Unposted Newly Trained Teachers not likely to be Posted This Academic Year

Newly Trained Teachers who completed the various Colleges of Education in the Country and couldn’t get their Postings due to several reasons are not likely to get posted this Academic Year, EducationGhana.net can confirm.

The categories of Newly Trained Teachers in this regard are those who couldn’t get posted to teach in the various Public Basic Schools by the Ghana Education Service for the commencement of the 2018/19 Academic Year.

The newly trained teachers were denied postings due to the inability of their Colleges to confirm their WASSCE /SSCE results as well as some who  failed one or two of their Semester examinations.

Some who were also victimized were not affected in any possible way.

Some victims also claimed they were denied postings due to the use of D7 in their WASSCE results to gain admission, a situation the Ghana Education Service denied vehemently.

Meanwhile, the University of Cape Coast submitted the list of Students who wrote their failed papers and passed out successfully to the Ghana Education Service, which led to a supposed posting of such students.

Interestingly, majority of the Unposted Newly Trained Teachers  are still hoping to get posted, a situation that caused a group known as the Coliation  of Unposted Teachers to release a statement to that effect.

Educationghana.net can confirm that the Ghana Education Service has closed The Postings for the 2017/18 Academic Year.

This means that no victim shall get posted to teach this year unless the opportunity comes in the 2018/19 Academic Year.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service in 2017 called for application for recruitment in to the Ghana Education Service, of which many applicants still awaits the response of the Ghana Education Service.
