Authorities of the University of Cape Coast has issued a statement to stakeholders, bringing a stop to dawn quizzes and the sale of pamphlets to students.
According to a letter issued by the directorate of Academic Affairs of the University to the Students Representative Council, referenced EX/14/Vol and dated 20th January, 2018 ,the authorities officially banned the organization or writing of quizzes at dawn.
The authorities informed the entire students’ body, lectures and the university community that effective today 30th January, 2018, lectures and quizzes SHALL not be conducted outside the academic board approved times (6:30am-8:30pm).
The SRC advises all students not to consent to writing of quizzes at odd times just because of fear or intimidation from any lecturer, but rather report such lecturers to the directorate of academic affairs or SRC office since it remains illegal to do so.
Again, the SRC reminded the Students that sale of pamphlets in any form or shape remains illegal and that the students leadership will rise against any of these without fear or intimidation.
