Gov’t Aided EC to Confuse Ghanaians on the Legality of the Validation of the Voter’s Register- Innovative Teachers

The peace of mother Ghana is at the blink of abuse by people we hold to have conscience and integrity .

The government, the electoral commission ,the committee of the E.C on the credibility of the voter register and other civil societies in  our country have chosen the path of intellectual dishonesty. The state and government of Ghana in line with ensuring an I.M.F conditionality to clean the government payroll, embarked on a general biometric registration of all public sector workers in 2013 .

The government by these activity successful struck out a lot of supposed ghost names. In 2015 mahama-led government again wallowed over an increased wage bill and suggested there were still ghost names on the public sector payroll. The ghanaian worker espercially the teacher was subject to an odeal of series of validation exercises.

The ghana education started the process of validating teachers ,the audit service followed and the BNI was further directed to execute same . The country is similarly embattled with similar instance of ghost names on our electoral roll and what do we hear from our intellectual class ,a validation of voters is not grounded in law The question is,”did government had any legal impetus to carry out the validation of public sector workers .?”,if yes. then the ELECTORAL COMMISSION must execute same as an institution of the state.

In the bankrupted argument ,that people who could not turn out to be validated lose the right to be on the register is an infringement on their right to vote!!,we say then ,that the government has infringed over on the right of many lawfully employed Ghanaian worker’s right to be on the government payroll. Ghana was comfortable to agree to punch names of workers from the payroll of controller and accountant general department CAGD as their absence to the validation concluded them as ghost names .

We believe this country would be safe to live in if all who matter in our governance system would do what is right and proper to ensure an incident free election to enhance our democracy as a country Thank you, Signed………
