Respected educationist and counselor Mr. Daniel Fenyi has called on the Akuffo Addo-led administration to approach the problem of unemployment as a national emergency.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi’s call for an improved approach towards unemployment comes on the back of the recent story of a UCC graduate who committed suicide after staying jobless for 3 years after school.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi emphasised that every year, about 300,000 graduates are churned out of the various tertiary institutions, both private and public, but this number does not correspond with the number of job vacancies in the system.
Counselor Fenyi asserted that graduates should not depend on politicians who always promise them jobs but fail to deliver.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi encouraged university graduates to diversify and learn some trade so that they can start some business on their own rather than depending on someone to employ them
