The Ghana National Association of Teachers has made a total revenue of Gh¢90.394million through its ‘Teachers Fund’ in the 2015 financial year.This according to the union is about a 60% increment from the revenue made from the 2014 financial year.
The revenue jumped from Gh 68.587 million to Gh 170.142 million recording 148% increase from the previous year.
The Teachers fund of the Ghana National Association of Teachers has acquired 60% stake in Aviance Africa, the first ever alliance of airport services providers.
In 2015, a total amount of Gh¢149.47 million was granted as loans representing 13% over the Gh¢ 132.66 million granted in 2014. A total of 32,529 members were granted loan in 2015.
The Fund is happy to report that members contribution is the only deduction on the Government payroll by Third Party institution, which attracts 1% service charge instead of the 3%. This is as a result of negotiations by management.
