Divine Komla Kpe,NUGS,Dolly Foundation and other Ghanaians win big at the 2015 Africa Youth Awards

Ahmed Adamu (Nigerian), the outgoing and first Chairperson of the Commonwealth Youth Council and Bitania Lulu Berhanu (Ethiopian), the Director of Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa have both emerged the 2015 Africa Youth Awards Young Personalities after a month long poll by Africans.

Both personalities have engaged in various activities creating opportunities for Africa and serve as great ambassadors for Africa through their assignments across the world making them eminent young role models.

As the chairperson of the Commonwealth Youth Council, Ahmed Adamu demonstrated Excellent Leadership in running the largest youth movement in the world churning out various programs that became beneficial to youths even outside the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth. Bitania Lulu Berhanu also used her organisaon to organise the !rst ever “Agenda 2063 Youth Summit” which brought young people from across Africa together to discuss the 50 year Development Plans of the Africa Union.

Speaking to Terser Adamu, co-founder and CEO of the awards, he said, “we announced the winners of our annual Africa Youth Awards on New Year’s Day and it was a terri!c occasion which celebrated the great achievements of African Youths across the globe. He stressed, “If you haven’t already heard, it was a momentous occasion which has helped highlight the impact and influence that African youth are having on the continent and beyond.

In conclusion he stated “We are humbled by the magnificent response so far and promise to return even bigger and better for 2016.

Ghana led in the awards with 6 Categories followed by Nigeria as over 20,000 votes were collated for over 70 Nominees from 26 African Countries from 141 countries across the world on with the approval of the 2015 jury.
