Criteria used to Score Polytechnics’ conversion into Technical Universities – see how they Polys were rated

This is how the Prof. Adimado Expert Panel scored the 10 Polytechnics after their independent expert assessment based on an established 16 point criteria;

Accra Poly – 13
Bolgatanga Poly – 09
Cape Coast Poly – 10
Ho Poly -12
Koforidua Poly – 13
Kumasi Poly – 14
Sunyani Poly – 12
Takoradi Poly – 12
Tamale Poly – 11
Wa Poly – 08

After a thorough review with the Expert Panel, National Council for Tertiary Education and the Ministry of Education a decision was taken to convert in two phases and not three phases.

Government has assured as stated by President John Mahama during the State of the Nation Address that the four in the second phase would be assisted to meet the conversion criteria within the shortest possible time.
