The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has elected it’s Acting President, Philippa Larsen as its National President.
Phillipa was voted President on Saturday, January 6,2018 during the Association’s 5th Quadrennial, 52nd National Delegates Conference held at the University of Cape Coast.
Phillipa won the election with a wider margin of 568 valid votes out of 592 total valid votes cast during the election with one rejected vote.
Phillipa represented the Central Regional to bid for the Presidency. She is a teacher at the Bawdjeasi D/A Basic School in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
One other surprise during the election was the rejection of Bruce Senam Mcbrain who contested the Vice Presidency.
His message and campaign made news in the media of which many were optimistic he shall win to effect changes but the delegates thought otherwise.
