Avoid Plagiarism – Professor Mawutor Avoke tells UEW matriculants

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Professor Mawutor Avoke has advised fresh men and women to be focused, resolute, avoid plagiarism and be aware of self-destructive behaviours like smoking, alcohol and drugs, during their stay on campus. He stressed on the need to avoid plagiarism as this could deny them their certificates.

He made those remarks at the 2016/17 matriculation ceremony held for regular students of the University on 28th September, 2016 at the Jophus Anamuah-Conference Center. He urged faculty to engage in more research by accessing the Research, Innovation and Staff Development Fund (RISDF) of the University.

The Registrar, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah, welcomed matriculants to the ceremony and urged them to be responsible members of the University community by being law abiding. The ceremony brought together students from the Faculty of Social Science, School of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Communications, School of Creative Arts, Faculty of Science Education and the Faculty of Educational Studies.
