OUR REGISTER IS FULL OF PROMISES, HENCE WE CAN’T KEEP DR. KWABENA DONKOR’S OWN ANYMORE….
ASSOCIATION OF CONCERNED TERTIARY STUDENTS (A.C.T.S) :
Setting the records straight for the good people of Ghana to understand us explicitly, there is an akan adage which goes like “)kwasea agyapade3, y3ntia so mpirenu”. Likewise, one can deceive some people all the time but one cannot deceive all the people at all times. As citizens and students of Ghana, we have heard so much promises from ordinary Ghanaians, pastors, certain chiefs, some opinion leaders and now have reached PHD promises.
It all started few years back when Hon. Haruna Idrissu came out categorically that in their 2nd tenure of office, they had NO EXCUSE or whatsoever to drag Ghana into yet another darkness. Currently, their 2nd tenure of office is about elapsing and yet, we are still in darkness.
Secondly; the president of the land himself told us emphatically and categorically that, he and his team are going to fix the DUMSOR within the shortest possible time. This was said in 2012 thereabout and as we speak, it’s getting to 2016 and we can see that the ‘DUMSOR’ is even getting worse.
That notwithstanding, Dr. KWABENA DONKOR being the power minister on the other hand also banked in yet another promise earlier in this very year that, he’s going to resign as early as possible by the end of this year if and only if he’s unable to get the ‘DUMSOR’ fixed.
With this promise, the whole nation thereby dwelled their faith in him, and have been paying him with huge sums of salaries knowing that he’s on the process of solving our ‘DUMSOR’ for us.
As we speak, the case of ‘DUMSOR’ is really getting worse and very appaling, and the following are our harmless questions;
1. Is DR. DONKOR just going to resign for no work done in case he’s unable to get our lights back to us?
2. Has he not wasted our time as well as our resources based on his promise and therefore, needs to be held accountable?
3. Are we just going to sit for him to go scott free after being paid, taken sweet allowances, enjoying other privileges and for no work done?
Well, the year is about ending, the ‘DUMSOR’ too is getting worse and as such, we can no longer keep DR’s promise in our register. However, we are calling all stakeholders in the country not to sit for this to happen in case the year ends with no light.
Long live Ghana
