The following are scholarships offered by organisations and institutions for students from Africa and Developing Countries with application deadlines in June 2017. Some of these scholarships are offered for international students generally.

Please note that application to most of these scholarships require that you already have or in the process to gain admission to participating university(ies).

Japanese Government Scholarships for Undergraduate, Research & Masters International Students

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is offering scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate and Masters students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program.

KAAD Germany Research Fellowship Programme (and Masters) for Developing Countries 

The KAAD Scholarship Program is addressed to post-graduates and to academics living in their home countries who already gained professional experience and who are interested in postgraduate studies (or research stays) in Germany.

OWSD PhD Fellowships for Women Scientists from Science and Technology Lagging Countries

African Students Fully-funded Masters Scholarship at Durham University – UK

20 University of Glasgow Masters Scholarship for International Students

The University of Glasgow has  20  International Leadership Scholarships available to international (non-EU) students starting a postgraduate taught Masters programme in any discipline in September 2017. The scholarships is awarded as a tuition fees discount of £10,000.

University of East Anglia Undergraduate Scholarships for International students

Each year, the University of East Anglia in UK awards over £1,000,000 of scholarships to support international students in their studies. The scholarship awards are made available by individual Schools of Study in the University.

Nottingham Trent University is pleased to offer scholarships for international students starting a full-time undergraduate course. This application form can be used to apply for the International Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is worth £2,000 per year for a three year course.

University of Bath Postgraduate Engineering Scholarships for International Students 

The University of Bath is offering 20 Faculty of Engineering and Design Elite MSc Scholarships each worth £2,000 to international fee-paying students. This money is not given to students as cash but applied as a discount to their tuition fees.
Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Grants for Sub-Saharan African (Including Sudan) Researchers
The Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Fund supports pairs of researchers (post-doctoral level and above) from the University of Cambridge (or an affiliated institution such as the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and NIAB) and sub-Saharan African institutions, across all disciplines, to initiate and/or strengthen research collaborations.

Polonsky Foundation Grants for International Graduate Students at University of Oxford UK
